Join us for a local history lecture on “ South Carolina’s Unheralded Partisan Commander, Colonel William Harden. Dik Daso will divulge Colonel Hardens’ story and actions during the Revolutionary War, particularly his efforts in the Lowcountry.

Lt. Col. Dik Daso, USAF (ret.), PhD, grew up in Bay Village, OH. He graduated from the US Air Force Academy in 1981 beginning a 20-year career flying fighter/trainer jets, earning his PhD while writing and award-winning biography of Army Air Force’s General Hap Arnold. In 2001, Dik became Modern Military Curator at the Smithsonian National Air & Space Museum. In 2012, Dik retired from the MASM and moved to SC, where he taught military history and and museum studies at the U of SC. . Dik became the Executive Director of the Air Force Historical Foundation in 2022.
